The biggest problem for purchasing an area rug on the net is to determine the quality of the rug. It is impossible to see the quality from a photograph. What is the pile height? The color? The density? How does it feel to the touch?

1. Exquisite Rugs has small sized rugs approximately 1.6'x2. 0’. We will discount that size rug to you and ship it at our expense for your approval. If you like the quality and decide to order a larger size, you can either keep the smaller one or return it to us (pre paid shipping) for a full refund.

2. If you are confident of the design but wish to order a sample to determine only the quality – the construction, texture, weave, softness – you have the option of ordering a sample in solid color. This will lower the cost of the sample. However, you will not be able to determine the actual design and various colors of the rug.
The advantage of the solid color sample is that the quality is the same for each collection – for example, a hand knotted 100% new Zealand Wool premium quality - regardless of color or design, so if you are confident about the design you wish to purchase, you may want to get the approval rug in a different color or design to complement the rug you eventually buy.
3. You can visit us in Morris Plains N.J. (with appointment only), our Rug Approval Plan allows you to borrow samples overnight. We'll take a deposit for the price of the rug sample and return the deposit to you when the undamaged sample is returned.
